On November 12th our Phoenix location held its fifth annual open house. As is tradition our company president Bruce Hodge flew into town and cooked his famous brats in beer, the beers got to be Miller High Life by the way. Preparing this event takes two days, a lot of planning and 300 hotdogs, 300 burgers and lots and lots of fixings.
So why go to all this effort?
Well, it’s all about community. Invites are sent to everyone in our foodservice community, our customers, suppliers, equipment dealers and rep groups. We come together to do exactly what we all work towards every day, feeding people good food. Attendees this year came from school districts, service companies, restaurants and healthcare facilities. It was a great opportunity to show off our new larger facility. Two dining areas were set up, one in our commercial appliance parts warehouse and one in the new training facility, which is close to completion. Once the extraction hood is installed we hope to invite many of the open house attendees back to equipment training and demonstration events.
The open house is also an excellent opportunity to swap ideas, learn about new innovations and to match people to opportunities. Problems get solved, hands are shaken, friendships are made all of which goes to strengthen our foodservice support community. On top of all that Bruce does cook a great brat!
