Rational Combi Oven Error Codes: Troubleshooting and Service Guide

Below are some of the most common error codes our technicians encounter.
Error 10: SC Pump Without Function
This error occurs when the unit is attempting to drain or flush the boiler.
What to check:
- Look for water flowing through the drain
- Listen for draining activity
If water is present, the issue may be a scaled level probe causing incorrect readings. If no water is draining, the problem could be a faulty pump motor or another internal issue.
In this case, professional service is recommended.
Error 12: CDS Without Signal
The CDS system tracks water usage and helps regulate cleaning cycles and descaling.
What to check:
- Ensure the water supply is connected
- Confirm the water shut-off valve is open
If both are functioning properly, a technician may be needed to diagnose deeper electrical or sensor issues.
Error 25: CleanJet Water Circulation Faulty
This error occurs during the cleaning cycle when water is not circulating properly.
What to check:
- Start a cleaning cycle and observe water flow
- Confirm water is spraying into the blower area
If there is little or no water flow, verify that the water supply is on. If the issue persists, contact a service technician.
Error 40: Care Pump Not Functioning
This error relates to the Care Control system, which handles cleaning and descaling.
What to check:
- Ensure Care tabs are properly loaded
- Use only approved Rational cleaning products
If the system is not distributing cleaning solution correctly, professional service is required.
Error “RESET” Gas (rES)
This error indicates a gas ignition issue.
What to check:
- Verify gas supply is turned on
- Confirm the gas hose is securely connected
If the unit still does not detect a flame, it will remain locked out and require service from a factory-trained technician.
