Meet OEM Parts Specialist Darryel Kelley

The fourth installment in our series of ‘Meet the parts team’ focuses on Darryel Kelley. Darryel is based out of the Pensacola FL branch. Darryel runs the will-call counter in Pensacola, helps with the phones to key in orders, and runs our fan replacement program. In this program, Darryel helps customers find the correct exhauster for their rooftop, packages and then ships them all over the country. He is very busy, to say the least.
Darryel came to General Parts Group in 2017 to fill a parts specialist role in our newly created branch in Pensacola. Before General Parts Darryel went to Louisiana State University to get his degree in business and has been in sales for over 40 years. In that time, he also owned and operated his own restaurant featuring PO Boy sandwiches. Darryel says, “If the part was made, I can find it.” He enjoys finding those almost impossible-to-find parts and the satisfaction he gets from helping a person in need.
During his off-time Darryel loves to hang out with his wife on the beach. You will find them cruising up and down the beach on his golf cart taking in the sites and sounds. If you are lost or need help getting back to your house/car, give him a wave and he will give you a lift. Darryel enjoys volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House charity and giving back to his community. If it is around Madi Gras time you will find him and his team, the Bananimals creating one of their world-famous floats. The team has won serval times. If you are in the Pensacola area stop on into the General Parts Group office and say hello to Darryel.
Darryel’s pro tip for customers is – If you cannot find a model and serial number, google the manufacturer and the type of equipment. Chances are there is a picture online and it will have the model number making it easier to find the part you need.
